The Better Boards Conference 2014 (www.betterboards.net) has just concluded in Adelaide (1 August – 3 August 2014) and was again a highly successful event.  In the writer’s opinion this is the premier NFP conference for the year because it offers a practical perspective as well as discussing issues at the forefront of thinking in the NFP Sector.

One of the features of the conference is a specific CEO’s day where issues confronting CEO’s are specifically canvassed and in some cases workshopped

Another of the innovative features included visiting substantial NFP’s such as Leukaemia Foundation, Phoenix Society and Royal Flying Doctor Service Central Operations, to be hosted generally by the CEO and Chair of each of those organisations.  It is a useful means of sharing and learning for all NFP organisations.

The Better Boards Website also contains interesting information on a range of topics affecting NFP’s.  The Better Boards Conference is recommended and watch out for the 2015 conference program when it is released.
